Making a plan
It starts with a thorough evaluation of your wood floor. We evaluate for the service life of the floor. Checking for dents, heavy gouges, and scratches. This allows us to assess how aggressive our approach sanding process needs to be.
First Sanding
In the first step we remove all old finish or sand the new flooring flat. The edges are seamless, but the grain is still too coarsely sanded for finishing.
Finish sanding
In the last steps we do multiple sandings with progressively finer papers to achieve just the right surface profile. This removes scratches and provides smooth surface for application of finishes.
Applying finish
After the sanding processes are complete, we apply either waterborne or oil-based urethane finish to your hardwood floors.
