Meet the Owner

Hi, my name is Shawn Mulville.

I grew up in Livonia, Michigan and my dad was a second-generation small business owner. The company specialized in window washing janitorial services. 

I spent my younger years cleaning commercial floors with Dad throughout Detroit. Despite his efforts, I did not take over the family business from my Dad.

I got involved in culinary arts where I worked as a Chef and baker for years. I became skilled at setting up the workspace and preparing for projects. Whether it is a fine dinner or a wood floor, attention to detail is crucial to a great final product.

Later, I began working with a friend in wood floor installation and sanding. In learning the entire flooring process, it was clear that maintenance of wood floors is a general mystery to homeowners. Many products sold should not be used for cleaning wood floors. They often add a quick shine, which dulls within weeks.

I observed that the greater public has very little knowledge of how to care and maintain their hardwood floors. It was through this realization that I began “Mulville’s Hardwood Floor Cleaning”. Our goal is to honestly educate people and provide a service to clean and extend the life of their floors.

I believe in being honest, reliable, drug-free, and hard-working. I serve my clients like family to grow Mulville’s Hardwood Floor Cleaning into a success. Deep cleaning wood floors for the people of Metro-Detroit.
